Dear music lovers

The HKB is still in the middle of its final concerts before the long summer break begins. The soloist diploma concert at the Casino Bern is one of several highlights. There are also graduation recitals from classical music and bachelor concerts from jazz and contemporary music almost every day: hkb.bfh.ch/diplome

Soloist Diploma Concert at the Kulturcasino 

Students at the highest level of the curriculum will take to the big stage as soloists, accompanied by the Biel Solothurn Symphony Orchestra TOBS! under the direction of Yannis Pouspourikas. This year's program includes Sergei Rachmaninov's Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini and Béla Bartók's Concerto for Viola and Orchestra.

Pulsations: Panorama 

Turbulent and dazzling, contemplative and experimental, this evening is full of insights into the broad skills of the budding rhythmists with dance, percussion and specially created pieces. The Master's students bring their ideas to the stage - implemented with the students from the Bachelor's course.

Multimedia installations, performances, concerts and more: in June, the Sound Arts students presented their work created during the spring semester 2025 to a full house.

Les Jardins musicaux in Cernier: Chopin

Six piano students from Tomasz Herbut's class will be performing two concerts dedicated entirely to Frédéric Chopin as part of the Les Jardins Musicaux festival in Cernier (canton of Neuchâtel): The program includes his 24 Etudes as well as the Mazurkas op. 17 and 30.

Campus Bern: construction site opens 

You can follow the construction progress of the new campus live on the website. We are currently discussing the final details of the layout, design, acoustics, event technology and much more with the planners. What is fixed now will be built! We are looking forward to it.
