Dear music lovers

We have started the graduation season! Around a hundred concerts are taking place in classical music alone. There are also many diplomas in Jazz and Contemporary Music, Sound Arts, Opera, Music and Movement and Composition. Our freshly printed diploma catalog, which is available at the HKB locations, provides information about the comprehensive program. You can also have a copy sent to your home - just send us an e-mail.

New clip: Ensemble Nikel with students 

In December 2024, Ensemble Nikel performed the work “I'm your body” by Stefan Prins together with the HKB Ensemble Vertigo at Dampfzentrale Bern and Gare du Nord Basel.

HKB students at Ristorante da Carlo in Bern

A new cooperation between KULT and Ristorante da Carlo: HKB music students will be creating a great atmosphere every Monday to Thursday until the beginning of July. The KULT music agency also presents itself in a new clip.

New lecturers

Five new lecturers will start teaching in the Department of Music in the coming fall semester: Marianna Angel and Philipp Eden for piano and electronic keyboard instruments in Sound Arts, Lukas Stamm and Raphaël Sudan for second instrument piano and jazz trumpeter Byron Wallen is the successor to Ralph Alessi. Welcome!

Jazz: Pop-up Festival 

The Pop-up Festival Jazz and Contemporary Music attracts visitors to the PROGR on the Ascension weekend with a packed program: from large electronic ensembles to duos and trios, from spoken word to DJ sets, from improvisations to covers by Björk or Dave Holland, this year's edition promises great variety.
